| Homework Policy |

1. Spelling words will be handed out each Monday. Students should study words each night for homework and there will be a Spelling Test on Friday afternoon or the last day of the week. On short weeks, usually holiday weeks, no spelling words will be given. A spelling homework assignment will be given on Tuesday and will be due at the beginning of the school day on Wednesday. 2. Each week a different grammar skill will be introduced. A homework assignment will be assigned on Monday and Wednesday and will be due at the beginning of the school day on Tuesday and Thursday. Students will demonstrate knowledge of the week's grammar skill by taking a Grammar Test on Friday afternoon. 3. A writing assignment will be completed in class each week. This assignment will be introduced on Monday and must be completed by the end of class time on Friday. Those students who do not complete the weekly writing assignment in class by the deadline will not be eligible to attend Friday Fun Time and will be given an opportunity to finish the assignment then. This also applies to students who are absent or miss writing class at any time during the school week. |
