I have been with the Rossford School District for 15 years. I was an Assistant Principal and teacher at the high school prior to becoming the Junior High Principal in 2003. It is a pleasure to be a part of the Rossford Community with such great students, parents and teachers. I'm proud to belong to the Rossford School System and am committed to providing a positive and safe learning environment.
I enjoy attending Rossford athletics, music and drama programs and am lucky to be a part of a dedicated and involved community.

WHAT IS TITLE I?
Title I is a federally funded program that provides assistance to schools so that children can meet state academic performance standards. The Title I program at Rossford Junior High focuses on Reading and Mathematics Achievement. We are a Targeted Program which means that students who qualify for services will benefit from the funding.
In order to qualify for services, students are selected for intervention based on several factors, including teacher recommendation, progress assessment data, and the State of Ohio Reading and Math Achievement Assessments. Students who are identified as needing intervention will be offered Intervention and/or after school tutoring.
In addition to providing instructional materials, Title I funding is used to promote parental involvement. Watch for more information in the school newsletter about how to help your child with reading at home. The Ohio Parent Information and Resource Center (Ohio PIRC) is a service available to you at 1-866-253-1829 or online at www.ohiopirc.org. Parent input is also encouraged through our Parent Teacher Organization. In addition, we will survey for input in the spring with a district wide questionnaire. Your input will help the district to decide how Title I funds will be used in the next school year. Please direct any questions about the Title I program to the principal, Mr. Pierson.
